Mech-Tech 1911 CCU in 9mm |

| The 1911 CCU in 9MM caliber requires a long 'finger' ejector
for proper ejection of fired cases. The finger length should be no less than
0.300" in length. EGW manufactures such an ejector and in most cases it can
be installed onto a 1911 frame without much 'tweaking'. We recommend a competent
gunsmith to do the job. It is quite simple to do and should cost little.
The EGW part number is 'XL EJECTOR .38' and it may be purchased from Brownells
- 641/623-400 (p/n 296-100-038) or contact EGW directly at 215/348-9892.
Before changing the ejector on your 9MM pistol, first try it with the CCU,
and if you experience ejection problems then make the change. Please contact
Mech Tech's tech support for more info (406/882-4255). Mech-Tech will keep
a supply of the EGW ejectors on hand for customer convenience, and they can
fax or mail a 'tech' sheet to you on this subject.
