The 1911 CCU is available in the following chamberings:		45 ACP, 10 mm, 40 S&W, 38 Super, 9mm*, and the hot new 460 Rowland cartridge (nearly twice the velocity of 45 ACP!). The CCU in 460 Rowland is also capable of firing 45 ACP ammunition without any modification. Click here for general info about the 460 Rowland cartridge.
*The 1911 CCU in 9MM caliber requires a long 'finger' ejector for proper ejection of fired cases.  Click here for more details.

Handgun /CCU Compatibility Information:

All "true" 1911-type frames (Colt, Kimber, Springfield, various clones, etc.) will work with the CCU regardless of the caliber of the CCU or handgun frame length (Officers Model and other compact 1911 frames work fine).  However, you will need to use a magazine that matches the caliber of the CCU.   The 1911 CCU in 460 Rowland functions with standard 45ACP magazines (single or double column) as the overall dimensions of 460 Rowland is the same as 45 ACP. The 1911 CCU in 9MM caliber requires a long 'finger' ejector for proper ejection of fired cases.  Click here for more details. For use with Para Ordnance models and other frames cut for ramped barrels, the "Para Block Adapter" insert is required (and available for purchase below).   The CCU is not compatible with: "Mollina" type frames, and some competition models that feature an extended dust cover.
