ORDER STATUS INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: Updated contact information
as been posted at the bottom of this page.
Please also check back often for further updates.

While this page does not provide information about specific orders, it is is hoped that it will be useful in keeping customers and prospective customers apprised of approximate order status and any unexpected delays that may occur. It will be updated whenever a batch of orders is processed or as things change. Information that changes routinely is highlighted in bold green text.

(01/21/12)  Just a very quick update--to reassure those who are patiently waiting; I have been able to make some progress, since the last update, in getting orders made and shipped.  I appreciate the patience, understanding and well-wishes of those I have been in contact with since posting the previous update (below).

(01/09/12) First off, my apologies for the lack of communication. My life has been turned up-side-down over the past couple of months--and only a small part is explained below.  I now have less than an hour a day that I am near the telephone or computer. I have made some changes in an attempt to make it easier to communicate with me--new contact info is at the bottom of the page.

Part of the reason for the lack of communication on this status update page is because I have been uncertain as to how things were were going to play out until now--and because I have simply had so very little time to do any thing but work (at a new job) or sleep.

In mid November it became apparent that the health condition I have been dealing with for the past couple of years, a very nasty type of inflammatory arthritis (that mainly affects my feet, knees, hips, low back, and my arms from my shoulders to my fingertips), had gotten to a point where it was impossible to make a living producing gunleather (and makes me dread doing things that I love to do). After working for as little as 30 minutes I would be in so much pain that I could hardly walk or use my hands--very important to this vocation. To make matters worse, the flare-up would then usually continue for 24-48 hours. Continually falling behind on getting orders shipped made me decide that I had no choice but to take a job that I could do regardless of a flare-up and one that would not aggravate the condition--and transition holster making back to a part-time venture. I had originally thought that I could still get some holster work done despite the new job being a 60+ hour per week commitment. Unfortunately, the new job immediately became a 72 hour per week commitment as I had been working 6 days per week (plus another 8-10 hours  per week of after-shift paper work obligations, prep & commute time). Consequently, because of the long hours, things have not gone as planned.

However, as of the time of this writing, it appears as though I will now be working the new job only 60 hours per week (and have figured out how to shift-out of work earlier).  Consequently, I have been been able to start getting some orders made and shipped. With this said, the following is the best I can offer as a status update--broken into two different categories:

IF YOUR CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED: I don't have many of these orders left to do. It is my hope to have all holster and belt orders done within the next 3 weeks or so--with the smaller items (SF Holsters & Mag Pouches) to follow shortly after.

CANCELLATION OF A CHARGED ORDER: If you feel that you can wait no longer for your order, you are welcome to cancel and request a refund--however, it would be greatly appreciated if you would check with me to see if the item has been started before canceling (it would be within days of shipping if it has been started). I have included updated contact information below and have made it a little easier to communicate with us by installing an answering machine and setting up a new email address. If you do request a refund, PLEASE DO SO THROUGH US RATHER THAN YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY--we will gladly credit the account. I will confirm that the refund request has been received and we will process the refund ASAP (though please allow up to 7 days for the credit to appear on your statement).

IF YOUR CREDIT CARD HAS  NOT BEEN CHARGED:  I am uncertain as to how things will play out beyond the next month or so. I could start a new course of treatment that is more effective and go back to doing leather full-time, or I could end up continuing to work a more sedentary job doing holsters on a part-time basis.  I just don't know right now. If your order is in this category, I can offer only these options:

1) Keep the order in queue until I know for sure how I will proceed. If I receive cancellations of charged orders (that I hope to get shipped within the next three or so weeks), I intend to replace them with unprocessed orders that are in queue.

2) Cancel the order--your credit card will not be processed and the order will be removed from the queue. To cancel an order in which the payment has not been processed, please use any of the contact methods listed below to let us know that you would like to cancel.

At any rate, I apologize for any inconvenience. Your patience has been greatly appreciated!!

PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING CONTACT INFORMATION TO REACH US:

01/21/12--please note--we have a telephone issue:  We are currently having problems with our phone line. It seems that whenever the ground gets saturated (we've had a lot of rain lately) we lose our phone service.  We have been in contact with the phone company and hope to have the problem permanently resolved early in the coming week. In the mean time, please feel free to keep calling--when the ground dries enough, we get service back.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Via telephone:  208 436 7828 Call anytime--we are now maintaining an answering machine--so please leave a message. Please include your name, order number, approx. order date and the best time to reach you (though I still have a VERY limited amount of time to to return calls--so please be patient as I will need to do this on scheduled days off). If you need to cancel the order and would like a refund, please just let us know in your message.
